Anonymous asked: Hey, Godzilla, why don't you use your better Japanese name "Gojira," especially since that film is now widely available on DVD!!!!!!!

Because the 1997 movie by Roland Emmerich starring international French sensation Jean Reno is the canon movie.

it is true…

it is true…

nerd-honey-deactivated20110411 asked: Sorry for this. Would it be valid to assume that Minilla is not the actual son of Godzilla? Let's assume that all Godzilla films are connected through a single timeline. First of all, Minilla resembles Godzilla very little. The body structure looks somewhat the same but that is about it. There is also never any mentioning of the mother, although there is also no specific clarification that Godzilla is male or female, but is usually referred to as a "he" so we can assume Godzilla is male. We also later get to see a new small Godzilla (baby Godzilla, or possibly the movie version of Godzuki) that we can see a growth process through Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II, Godzilla vs. Space Godzilla, and Godzilla vs. Destoroyah. If the time line is a straight line, we can now assume that after Godzilla dies in Godzilla vs. Destoroyah, the young Godzilla took his place, in which the next movies will follow the young Godzilla all grown up. This is another problem. If this is true, then Minilla does not age, because we can see him in Final Wars, as the same goofy lizard he was in Son of Godzilla. I could continue but I will try to keep this as brief as possible. We have no huge similarities between Minilla and Godzilla, we have a believable example of a son of Godzilla (Baby Godzilla), no history of a mother, and Minilla's inability to age. My theory is that this creature has no real relation to Godzilla at all and through a string of coincidences has mistaken Godzilla for his father. Would you find this to be a legitimate argument?

My mind is blown. You could very much be correct sir. You should get in touch with William M. Tsutsui, author of Godzilla On My Mind. His mind will be equally blown.
